Emilia A Schroeder nee Chiarelli passed away Tues. 8/12/25 in Hope, NJ. She was 89

Emilia was born 6/13/36 in Brooklyn, NY to John and Caroline Chiarelli. Emilia worked at NY Bell before marrying and having children. She loved to bowl and go to bingo. Emilia and family moved to Hackettstown in 1974. She was an active part in both her children and grandchildren’s school lives, volunteering wherever she was needed. This eventually led to acquiring a job in the cafeteria of the Hackettstown public school system.

Emilia is survived by her husband Robert of 66 years; a sister Teresa Arcuri and her husband Frank Arcuri. Her daughter Carolyn Scholl, son-in-law David Scholl, and a daughter-in-law Lori Schroeder. Her granddaughter Brianne Schoener and husband Steven Schoener, grandson Connor Scholl, grandson Ian Schroeder, and granddaughter Phoebe Schroeder.  Most importantly, the apple of her eye, her great-grandson Steven Schoener. Many wonderful Nieces and Nephews.

Emilia was predeceased by her parents John and Caroline Chiarelli, her sister Jean Mourry and her husband John, and her son Robert Schroeder.

Calling hours will be Sunday, August 17, 2025  from 4 – 8 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J..

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Church Of The Assumption Of The Blessed Mary, 305 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Father Roberto Coruna officiating.  Burial will be in Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, NJ following the service.
