Mary Ann Secor, 56 of Hackettstown, died after a long illness on October 6, 2020. Mary Ann was born in Jersey City, and lived her whole life in Hackettstown, attending St. Mary’s, Mansfield Township School, Warren Hills Regional High School, and Morris County Community College where she obtained her AS degree. She is the daughter of Jane Beckwith Secor and Kenneth Secor. She is survived by her parents, her daughter Danielle Vaught Hurd of Franklin Borough, a grandson Silas Hurd, a niece Abigail Torres of Belvidere, and her sisters Christine Secor Torres of Belvidere, Beverly Secor Pawlik of E. Stroudsburg, and she was predeceased by her brother Kenneth.
Before becoming disabled she was a legal secretary, she was active in things like the Warren Hills High School Choir. Those who knew her remember her as fun loving and a caring free spirit who enjoyed being a devoted Mother, Grandmother, daughter, aunt, and sister, enjoying being with her friends, family, camping, barrel racing and loving all animals.
Family and Friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, on Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m., October 12, 2020 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Mountain R.C. Church, 2 E. Springtown Road, Long Valley, NJ on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
