Shirley Fazekas, 93, of Hackettstown, NJ., passed away at the Heath Village Retirement Community in Hackettstown. Born in Boonton, NJ, Shirley was the daughter of the late Clifford & Dorothy Kidwell Smith. Shirley has lived in Hackettstown for most of her adult life and was the wife of the late John J. Fazekas who died on May 23, 2018. Shirley is survived by three children, John, Ron & Lynn. Due to coronavirus restrictions, the burial at Hackettstown Union Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family. Dear John, Lynn, and Ron, I just want to send my deepest condolences to you regarding your Moms death. I will always remember her as my 2 grade teach at Allamuchy school! She was one of my fav. teachers , and a friend! I will always remember her , her beauty , kindness and funny jokes! And to think she came to our 8 th grade graduation! She sat in the front row, with Lynn! She smiled the whole ceremony! At the end we sang I’ve got to be me . I thought it was so silly! But a great lesson about being true to yourself! One most difficult to learn , but one of the best in life! She smiled, she was so lovely !❤️❤️❤️ Thinking of you all! Take care and be well.
