Rosemary Storm, 93, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on July 21st.
Rosemary is predeceased by her husband, Ralph Storm, her parents, as well as her older brother, Jack Hann. She is survived by her younger sister, Jean Brugler and countless nieces and nephews. Rosemary will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Rhonda (Husband – Colin Dray), her two grandchildren, Colin (Wife – Megan) and Brittany, and two great-grandchildren.
Rosemary was born in Allamuchy, New Jersey on February 23rd, 1929, to Earnest and Mildred Hann. She started her career as town treasurer for Mt.Olive township for 32 years and ultimately finished her career journey at the Mars company in Hackettstown, New Jersey where she worked in accounts payable for several years.
Rosemary was a kind soul and family first, she devoted much of her time caring for others, people, and animals alike, while never requesting anything in return. In her free time, she enjoyed playing card games with her family, finishing the weekly crossword puzzle, and reading the newest romance novel. Rosemary also appreciated tennis, if you ever wanted to know the latest on any televised match, she was your go to. Rosemary had a love for the outdoors, often driving north with her husband to witness the leaves change color during the fall. Rosemary and her husband would travel to countless campsites or up to their cabin in Sparrow Bush, NY with family in tow. She was a devoted and active member at the Drakestown Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer of the woman’s society. Rosemary will be deeply missed and never forgotten by her family, friends, and all that the privilege of meeting her.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12 pm – 2 pm on Tuesday, July 26th at Cochran’s Funeral Home on High Street in Hackettstown. Minster John Callanan will officiate alongside pastor Sharon Hoff. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Animal Protection League of NJ at PO Box 145, Flanders NJ 07836 with the memo line “Mt.Olive TNR’. Donations may also be made to the Drakestown Methodist Church of Hackettstown, NJ.
