Brian Patrick Waas age 29 passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022 at St. Barnabas Medical Center.  Born May 8, 1992 in Livingston, NJ. He is the son of George F. and Linda (Moufang) Waas, III.

He is survived by his father, George F. and mother Linda (Moufang) Waas, III, grandmother, Barbara Waas, grandfather, Richard Moufang, godparents, Sue Freaney, Ray Freaney, aunt, Kathy Pallitto, uncle, Mike Pallitto, uncle, Kenneth Ross, aunt, Mindy Agosto-Ross, and many cousins.

Calling hours will be Monday, April 25, 2022 from 4 – 8 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840 with a prayer service beginning at 7:45pm.

A Mass of Christian burial to Celebrate his life will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at St. Raphael’s Parish, 346 E Mt Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ with Father Thomas Blind officiating.  A brief visitation will be before at the mass at Cochran Funeral Home beginning at 9:00 am.    Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 immediately after the Mass.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown NJ 07840.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Els Foundation for Autism, www.elsforautism.org or Asperger/Autism Network (AANE), https://www.aane.org

Thank you for all your love and support!  We love you, and I’m sure that Brian knows how much he was, is, and will always be loved after looking over my shoulder as I’ve read your beautiful tributes.

    So sorry for your loss. My prayers go out to you and your family. I remember Brian has a little boy playing softball and golf outside with his dad. Brian also loved to play ball with all the neighborhood kids on the block. Brian was the most polite young man I ever met. Keep on smiling in heaven Brian RIP 🙏 ♥️

    It was heartbreaking to hear of the passing of Brian.
    Brian would always greet me with a pleasant positive attitude. I remember thinking I needed to act more like Brian because he lifted people’s spirits. I’m sure he influenced many people in that way!
