Samuel Bocchino, age 83, of Port Murray, NJ died Friday, May 6, 2022 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown, NJ.  Samuel was born December 28, 1938 in Newton, NJ. He is the son of the late Andrew and Verna (Wydner) Bocchino.

He served proudly in the US Navy from 1958 to 1964 aboard a destroyer during the Cuban missile crisis.

Sam was an owner / operator of his own truck, He grew up in Hackettstown, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching motorsports of all kinds, especially when his son was go-karting. If Sam was sitting down his faithful dog, Foxy could usually be found sitting on his lap.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rita (Theusen) Bocchino , son, Samuel Bocchino, Jr.,  and his fiancé Tina Snyder daughters, Dana Crawn and her husband James and Tammy Ross,  He also has five grandchildren; Jamie, Casey, Kelly, Kasidy  and Karita and  10 great grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ on Wednesday, May 11. 2022 from 11 am – 1 pm with services beginning at 1 pm.
