Grace M. Ross, 92, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 after experiencing brief complications in the hospital. She was born on March 5, 1931 to parents Rena and George Lynch of Belleville, NJ where she and her brother George were raised until adulthood.

At the age of 19, Grace met and married the love of her life, Edward Ross, with whom she shared over 50 happy years of love and laughter. They shared a passion for traveling, golf and tennis, playing bridge with friends, dancing to Frank Sinatra, and snow-birding at their Florida home during the winter months.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Grace is survived by her son Ed Ross (68), daughter Linda Mattar (66), her three grandchildren, J.D. Greenaway (43), Heather Greenaway (42), Michelle Mattar (31), and her four great-grandchildren.

Grace was supportive, selfless, and devoted to family. She spent the last 6 years of her life in the care of her daughter Linda, surrounded by loving family and friends.

Her favorite hobbies included solving crossword puzzles and playing solitaire. Grace will be forever remembered for her modesty, generosity, and unbelievable smile.

The services for Grace will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Cochran’s Funeral Home in Hackettstown, New Jersey.
