Antonio Staffiero, age 88, of Hackettstown, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 15, 2026. Born November 25, 1937 in Dobbs Ferry, NY, he was the son of the late Angelo and Rafaella (Marotto) Staffiero. In addition to his parents, Antonio was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith, and nine brothers and sisters.

Antonio proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1954 to 1957. Following his military service, he built a long and dedicated career with BMW of North America in Mt. Olive, NJ, working in Parts Distribution until his retirement.

A man with many passions, Antonio was an avid golfer who enjoyed both playing the game and watching it on television. He was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, loved tending to his garden, and cherished summers spent at the Jersey Shore. Antonio found joy in boating, visiting Atlantic City, socializing with friends, and never missed the chance to buy a lottery ticket. His easygoing nature and love of life made him a treasured presence to all who knew him.

Antonio is survived by his two cherished daughters, Christie Stachnick and her husband James “Jim,” and Meredith Thies and her husband Scott; his sister, Rosie Staffiero; three grandsons, James Stachnick, Josh Thies, and Devon Thies; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, with services beginning at 5:30 PM.
