Carl E. Juhls passed away on September 11th, 2026 in Morristown, NJ. He was 84.

Carl was born on April 17th, 1942 in Newark, NJ to Greta and Carl Juhls. He was the first graduating class at West Morris High school. He met the love of his life Linda when they were 13 at a dance in St Judes Church. Carl was a man who loved his town. He devoted his career to Mt Olive Police Department for 29 years, retiring as police Captain in 1991. Carl also was a part of the Budd Lake fire department and first aid squad. Carl had a love for Elvis, and Western movies. He was loved and respected by all who knew him!

Carl and Linda were married 65 years and they have two sons, Carl, Chris and wife Erin. Carl and Linda have 5 beautiful grandchildren, Emily and Husband Johany, Abby and Husband Ethan, Conner, Maizie, and Brayden. As well as two great-grandchildren Xavier and Aiden. Many nephews and nieces that he loved dearly.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 7:30pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown NJ 07840.  Internment services will be held privately at the family’s request.  Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.cochranfuneral.com/
