Born in Newark, NJ, on December 4, 1942, Wayne grew up in Bernards Township and graduated from Bernards Township High School. He proudly served in the United States Army, stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii from 1960 to 1964.

Condolences to the entire Alexander family on the loss of your beloved Wayne. I first met him right after my graduation from the academy. Sgt. Alexander had a calm demeanor and friendly smile which belied his wealth of knowledge and solid guidance as a Patrol Supervisor. He was a really good man, may he rest in peace

My condolences to the family. I only knew him as a supervisor but he was a kind and gentle man – a gentleman. I never heard him speak bad about anyone and I don’t remember anyone having a bad word against him. Rest in Peace sarge, your watch is finish.
