AnnaMarie (Zerby) Andershonis, 85, of the Budd Lake section of Mt. Olive, N.J., passed away near midnight on June 24, 2024. Born and raised in West Mahanoy Twp., PA, she was the daughter of Joseph and Kathryn (Barrett) Zerby.
AnnaMarie graduated from West Mahanoy Twp. High School. It was there she met her future husband, Charles “Chas” Andershonis at a school dance. They were lifelong sweethearts and were married for 62 years before his passing in 2018. AnnaMarie operated a popular ceramics business for almost 30 years. Here she not only showed all her creative skills, but also taught lessons to others.
AnnaMarie was a parishioner and active member at St. Jude’s Church in Budd Lake for over 60 years. She was a charter member of the women’s Rosarian Society.
She is survived by her children; Charles (Jill) of Benton, AR.; Joseph (Lisa) of Nazareth, PA; Patrick (Connie) of Port Murray, N.J.; James (Lori) of Long Valley, N.J.; and Marlene of Budd Lake, N.J.; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude’s Church in Budd Lake at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Burial will be held privately.
