Teresa M. Hillen, age 79, of Mansfield, NJ died Friday, June 28, 2024, at home.  Teresa was born March 11, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY to the late John and Mary (Meade) King.  In addition to her parents Teresa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brian Hillen, Sr, her brother, Maurice, and two sisters, Marie and Rita.

After Teresa’s husband’s passing, she devoted most of her time, energy, and focus upon assisting the needs of her adult children and their families. As their families grew     over time, Teresa was there to share her love in the good times, and especially when life presented its challenges. Teresa was also a devoted and humble servant in the Catholic faith, spending much of her free time with friends in prayer groups, attending get-togethers, and lending a helping hand whenever there was a person in need. She was a woman of deep faith, who lived her life in the service of God and others. She was a shining example of Christian love, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was often a source of strength, guidance, and unconditional love. She raised her children with the values of faith, family and hard work, instilling in them a deep love for Christ and commitment to living a life of virtue.

She is survived by her son, Brian Hillen, JR. and his fiancé, Laura Powell, her daughter, Lisa Cartolano and husband John, her 6 grandchildren, Conor and Sophia Hillen, Addilyn Powell, Kristina Cartolano and wife Andrea, Kayla, John and Amanda Cartolano and 2 great grandchildren, Meredith and Angelina.
