Nancy L. Applegate, age 84, of Hackettstown, NJ died Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at home surrounded by loved ones. Nancy was born May 25, 1936 in Washington, NJ to the late Louis and Jennie (Leiby) Wagner. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Malcolm “Teamer” Applegate (1984) and her son, Sgt. Bradley Edward Applegate (2017).
She was employed by Aramark, Hackettstown, NJ as a Cashier working in the M&M Mars facility and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and Choir, Hackettstown, NJ for many years. Nancy was a beautiful Christian woman who loved to travel, spending time in Williamsburg, VA, Wildwood Crest, NJ and vacationed in Hawaii 30 times. Her favorite restaurant was IHOP and she enjoyed watching the Carol Bernett Show. Nancy was a loving, caring compassionate mother who loved her family deeply.
She is survived by two daughters, Allyson Reynolds and husband Brant, Lisa Applegate and friend Don Drummond, four grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, Matthew and Hannah, two great grandchildren, Tripp and Logan, and her loving companion, Michael Malone.
Visitation will be held at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 1 – 2 pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation with Dr. Rev. Frank Fowler officiating at 2 pm. Burial of ashes will follow at Union Cemetery, Hackettstown.
