Barbagallo, Grace June June 24, 1944 - April 18, 2025

Date of Funeral

April 25, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Grace June Morello-Barbagallo (nee Blasi), age 80, of Washington Township, New Jersey. Grace passed away comfortably at her home in the loving care of her family.

Grace was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Joseph and Rose Blasi and sister of Joe Blasi. She grew up in the boarding house her parents owned and operated. Their home was a busy place that helped many people get back on their feet.  Grace graduated from Battin High School in 1962. She was married very shortly after to Tony Morello and had four children. As a young mother, she was then widowed in 1971. Grace was very resilient during this challenging time. She got her children settled and then started her journey towards earning her bachelor’s degree. She graduated Summa cum laude from Centenary College.

Grace was remarried in 1975 to Lebo Barbagallo. Soon after that she started her own cleaning business. She worked hard and helped pay for college and weddings for her children and engrained in us the value of hard work.  Grace was a devout Catholic. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Mountain church. She loved music and singing. She sang in the church choir for 40+ years, and she also sang with the Warren County Community Singers. Grace also enjoyed the theatre. She had season tickets to Papermill Playhouse. Grace was very social and volunteered in her community.  She so enjoyed her “Lane Ladies” and “Wine and Wine” groups. She was part of the Garden Club and the Columbiettes.  Grace, so cherished time with her family.  She loved to host big holiday feasts, Christmas cookie baking and epic Easter egg hunts with her grandchildren.  She really was happiest when her family was around.

Grace was predeceased by her first husband Tony Morello(1971) and second husband Lebo Barbagallo.

Grace is survived by her four children: Donna Costanzo and her husband Stephen, Melissa Baker and her husband Tom, Christina Morello and her partner Andy, and Anthony Morello and wife Dawn, her brother Joe Blasi and his wife Donna, and her stepchildren Josephine Heffernan and Lee Barbagallo.  She is also survived by her many grandchildren whom she adored: Ryan Sylvester, Zachary Costanzo, Olivia Costanzo, Kristen Baker, Brendan Baker, Jonathan Baker, Dylan Baker, Nicholas Birmingham, Curtis Birmingham, Austin Birmingham, Anthony McLeavy, Mackenzie Cieri and Corinne Couzzo.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Thursday April 24, 2025 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday April 25, 2025 at Our Lady of the Mountain Church, 2 E Springtown Rd. Burial will be held directly after mass, at the Our Lady of the Mountain Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Grace’s name to the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org or the Warren County Community Singers www.wcsingers.org
