Lillye Sarah Barr “Sally”, age 95, of Succasunna, NJ died Saturday, November 5, 2022 at St. Clare’s Hospital of Dover, NJ. Lillye was born January 18, 1927 in Trenton, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Dunn) Barr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel Barr in 1983.
She was employed by Dept. of Education, Morris County as a Music Instructor for 36 years and was a former member of the Our Lady of the Mountain Rosary Society.
She is survived by her devoted physician, Dr. Edgardo Ong and the caring staff of Merry Heart Nursing Home, Succasunna, NJ
A Mass will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 9 at Our Lady of the Mountain Church, 2 E. Springtown Rd, Long Valley, NJ. Entombment of Lillye’s ashes will follow at Hackettstown Union Cemetery. (Please meet at the church.)

November 9, 2022 at 6:34 pmFantastic lady. Her husband Sam was the band director at Hackettstown High during my years of attendance from 1966 to 1970. Both were wonderful, caring people. I enjoyed the band picnics they hosted at their home at Rustic Knolls.
