Benitez-DuPont, Hilda A. November 5, 1966 - June 19, 2023

Hilda Alicia Benitez-DuPont, age 56, of Newton, NJ died Monday, June 19, 2023 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center of Hackettstown, N.J.. Hilda was born November 5, 1966 in El Salvador. She is the daughter of the late Jose Antonio and Maria Magdalena Ramos Benitez, and a sister to many other siblings.

Hilda had her humble beginnings cleaning and maintaining beautiful and spacious homes all over the country. She most recently was employed by Hilton, along with working for many other well-known hotels. She also worked in cleaning for medical establishments such as dialysis. Hilda loved cleaning and found pride and joy in her work, getting to leave early whenever she did finish, being paid her full hours didn’t hurt either.

Aside from work, she loved spending her time exploring new restaurants and cooking new dishes with her daughter Nelsy. Traveling and sight-seeing was one of her favorite things to do, having visited Mount Zion, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, Niagara Falls, Philadelphia, Washington D.C, and even exploring caves and volcanoes in El Salvador and Honduras.

Hilda also enjoyed serving in different ministries, her favorite being a barista of the church due to her love of coffee. Anything she could help in she did. Her love of God flowed into music, having attended serval concerts over her lifetime.

She is survived by her loving daughter Nelsy Benitez of Beacon, New York, she is also survived by her cousins and many friends and family in Honduras and El Salvador.

Calling hours will be Thursday, June 29 from 11:00 AM- 2:30 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840.
