Bigley, Gunnar J. March 13, 2002 - September 23, 2021

Gunnar Jeffrey Bigley, age 19, of Andover, NJ passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Morristown Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.  Gunnar was born March 13, 2002 in Denville, NJ. He is the son of Jeffrey and Donna (Hamilton) Bigley.

Gunnar was recently employed by Family Ford, Netcong, NJ as a Parts Delivery Driver.  Gunnar loved many things in his life, his Chevy Duramax Truck, riding quads, his street and dirt bikes, and his airsoft guns to name a few.  Most of all, he loved his family, especially his mom whom he had a special bond with. He wanted nothing more than to make his parents proud, and they were so proud of him.  Gunnar was a kind hearted soul, he wore his heart on his sleeve and he was especially proud that he was going to be a groomsman in his sister’s wedding in a few weeks. He was a silly, goofy, witty, fun to be around young man. Gunnar enjoyed spending time with friends, especially his best friend of 15 years, Austin. They enjoyed many adventures together. Gunnar was a respectful young man who always made sure to take the time to talk to his friend’s parents and ask how their day at work was and never failed to give them a hug.

Gunnar is survived by his devoted parents, Jeffrey and Donna (Hamilton) Bigley, his loving sister, Rachel Bigley, his future brother-in-law, James Pier, his grandmother Theresia Hamilton, his best friend, Austin Popelka, his kitten, Benji, his two dogs, Sonny and Ace, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Gunnar is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles A. Hamilton, his paternal grandparents, Bernard F. and Dorothy Bigley, his cousin, Charles F. States, his aunt Barbara Luczun, and uncle, Jay Luczun.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 30 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Father Timothy Dowling officiating.  Cremation is private.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, September 29 from 3-8 pm and Thursday, September 30 from 9-11 am at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ. Online condolences may be left at www.cochranfuneral.com
