Karen J. Byers, age 67, of Oxford, NJ died Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Warren Haven Nursing Home. Karen was born July 14, 1954 in East Orange, NJ to the late John and Evelyn (Greenwood) Handshaw. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, John Handshaw.
She was formerly employed by Shoprite, Mansfield, NJ as a Bakery Associate. Karen was an avid reader, she enjoyed classic TV especially Little House on the Prairie. She had a wonderful sense of humor and looked forward to her Tootsie Roll Lollipops as a special treat.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Calvin and husband Trent, her son, Matthew Byers, her loving sister, Betsy Swisshelm and husband David, a brother, Bruce Handshaw and her cherished granddaughter, Mackenzie Calvin.
