Alexandria “Sandy” Cozzo, age 94, of Long Valley, NJ died Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Arden Courts of Easton, PA. Alexandria was born June 5, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late Vito and Antonia (Cutrone) Easparro. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Francis Cozzo on 06/01/2017.
As a proud wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma, Sandy’s world was centered around her love and adoration for her family. She was not only known for her delicious cooking and baking, but for her artistic talent, as she shared her gifts in sewing and crafting with friends and family.
Sandy had a lovely singing voice, and she could be heard singing and humming sweetly all throughout the day. This was greatly complimented by the beautiful piano playing of her husband, as she would humorously remind him that he was playing their beloved jazz tunes too quickly. Sandy was very passionate about music and history. As a very bright woman, she excelled in trivia and would often recall fascinating information from various historical events, musical theatre, and of course…her favorite singer: Frank Sinatra.
Sandy also found great pride and joy in her career as a cafeteria worker at Jefferson School in Bergenfield, NJ.
She loved her family fiercely, and would never miss an opportunity to celebrate holidays or enjoy a visit to a favorite restaurant. A nurturer, caretaker, and creative mind with a generous heart, Sandy will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
She is survived by: devoted daughter, Andrea Cicchino and husband James, her loving son, Robert Cozzo and wife Kim, a younger sister Michaelina “Chucky” Amarose, 6 Grandchildren, Debbie, Lauren and husband Chris, Brittany, Jimmy, Tyler and wife Rachel, Jenna, and 2 great granddaughters, Bethany and Emily.
