DeLorenzo, Marlene “Molly” July 25, 1937 - July 1, 2023

Marlene S. DeLorenzo or to many who knew her, Molly, passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Molly was 85 years old.

Born on July 25th, 1937, Molly spent 85 wonderful years spreading love, kindness, and affection to all those who were fortunate enough to cross her path. She was a devoted daughter to Emma and Ken Hartman, a loving sister to Jeannie, Sue, Ken, Babe and friend to many in Warren County, NJ, Northampton County PA as well as Crooked Island, Bahamas.

Molly worked at the Washington, NJ Grand Union for 25 years and spent the remainder of her career as an officer of East Penn Sanitation, Inc.in Bethlehem, PA. An amazing baker, Molly
could bake it all from apple pie to lemon meringue. Fittingly, She was as sweet as the Key Lime pie she was famous for. Baking is an apt analogy for her life; the same care, attentiveness, love, and passion She put into her baking was also shared with those she knew and loved. Besides baking, her hobbies included travel, quilting, basket weaving, and needlepointing. Her warm,  radiant smile made any rainy day lighter if her kind words had not gotten there first. Molly will stay in all of our hearts until we have the privilege of seeing her again.

Molly is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Thomas DeLorenzo, her children, Gregory DeLorenzo and Theresa DeLorenzo, and her grandchildren Thomas Kowalick, Stephen
Kowalick, Lena DeLorenzo, Ian DeLorenzo, and two great-grandchildren.

Dear Delorenzo family, I am so sorry to read of.Molly’s passing. I will always remember teaching her to swim, when I told her to sit on the bottom of the shallow end and she looked at me and said, “like hell I will”. We both always had a good laugh about that. Thoughts and prayers are with you all!
