    Dear Agostino Family
My Wife Robin and I were so saddened to see that Mr. Agostino passed away.
He would come into Williams and Hibler and we would have such great conversations, about his grape vines, and Garden,’
I would ask Him if He had been to the Priests Convention as He was a Saver of Souls too.
He was such a pleasant guy as you all well know, and though my memories are meant to honor and console, I fear they will fall far short at a time like this,
I pray our FATHER in Heaven grant you all the Comfort HE alone can grant, through Christ our LORD.
    GOD Bless you all.

    To the Decidue Family,

I was in Maria’s class in school oh so many years ago. As with most Hackettstown residents, our connection with your father was Agostino’s Shoe Repair, which according to the obituary he opened just after we moved to town. It was the only place you took your shoes, and he would always have a story to tell of the specific repair he did to your shoe and why it was better than the way it was originally made! He was always right. When I moved back to town in 1990 to Valentine St, my wife made it a point to walk with our children for shoe repairs to his shop – and for an always pleasant visit. On reading this today all I could think is that a part of Hackettstown’s charm has passed away – a good and honourable man. We pray that the Lord comforts you in your time of sorrow.
