Ellen Joanne Infante, age 76, of Allamuchy Township, NJ died Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown, NJ.  Ellen was born October 7, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Jack and Esther (Williams) Mattes.

Ellen worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Morristown and Erie Railway, Morristown, NJ before her retirement in 2013.

She was a devoted member of the St. James Episcopal Church, Hackettstown, NJ, serving as their bookkeeper, a member of their fundraising committee, was a vestry member and member of the Altar Guild.

She is survived by two sons, Scott A. Infante, Jamie Infante and wife Olena, granddaughter, Mahlayjah Infante and two brothers, Robert Mattes and wife Mary, Richard Mattes and wife Joan, a niece, Jenna Mattes and a nephew, Evan Mattes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 214 Washington Street, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840 in memory of Ellen.
