I’m sorry to hear about the passing of Gary. I’ve known him all my Life, especially when I was younger. I’ve been in touch with via email very often since then. He’s a real ‘stand-up guy’ and there’s nothing bullshit/phony about him in the least. I know that this may sound ‘religious’ but he’ll always be close to those he was close to and especially close to his son, Beau.

Gary, I was there when you were born. You will always be My Viet Nam hero.
When someone you love becomes a memory, their memory becomes your treasure.
My dearest nephew, Gary, has gone with our Lord. He is deeply missed. There was always something magical about Gary. His life was an inspiration. His memory – – A Benediction. Gary knew how to turn a stumbling stone into a stepping stone. Gary knew what really mattered in life was not what he bought but what he built; not what he got but what he shared; not his competence but his character; and not his success, but his significance. Gary’s undying love and affection will echo forever in our hearts. He left us the symphony in his soul and the song in his heart. He left us with his undying love. Thank you, Gary, for sharing your gift of laughter, your beautiful self and your selfless being with us. You are our shining star. “It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. It was the age of wisdom. It was the age of foolishness. It was the epoch of belief. It was the season of Light. It was the season of Darkness. It was the spring of hope. It was the winter of despair.” Charles Dickens – – – Love, Aunt Arline
