Fiore, John A. February 8, 1952 - December 24, 2024

Date of Funeral

January 3, 2025

John A. Fiore of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve 2024, surrounded by the love of his children after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 72 years old.

Born in Paterson, NJ, John graduated from Clifton High School in 1971, where he met the love of his life, Diane. Together, they built a life rich in love, faith, and family—a testament to their enduring bond.

John is now reunited with Diane, his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of 40 years, as well as his parents and siblings who preceded him in passing.

John and Diane lovingly raised five children who continue to honor his legacy of faith and family. He is survived by his eldest daughter, Danielle Ferise, and her husband Chris of Belvidere; Shannon Szabanos and her husband Paul of Hackettstown; his son, John Anthony Jr., of Mansfield; and his twin daughters, Kelly Wiseman and her husband Kris of Knoxville, TN, and Tricia Kato and her husband Akira of Hackettstown.

He was a proud grandfather to fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with another precious addition on the way.

John dedicated 40 years to PSE&G, retiring in 2012 as a Gas Inspector. Outside of work, he embraced the joys of life—riding motorcycles, offshore fishing, poker nights, and cherished mornings with his coffee crew. One of his greatest joys was the annual July 4th camping trip at the Jersey Shore, a beloved tradition that united 50 or more family members and friends for over 25 years.

As the patriarch of his family, John was deeply loved and admired. His strength, wisdom, and unwavering love for those around him leave a legacy that will be cherished forever.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate John’s life during visitation on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 32 Main Street, Hampton, NJ 08827, followed by interment.

John’s family invites all who knew and loved him to join in celebrating his remarkable life.
