Frank L. Munson, Jr., age 77, died Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Frank was born April 23, 1942 in Morristown, NJ. He is the son of the late Frank L. and the late Velma (Taylor) Munson.
Survived by his sister, Sharon Mulharin of Jefferson township with whom he resided. His best friend and beloved dog, Chuckles, whom he spoiled and played with all day. He is also survived by his brother, Doug Sturtevant and his 2 children, Vanessa and Doug, of Hackettstown. Frank had two predeceased sisters, Joyce Kennedy and Barbara Finch Mellott (Sturtevant Maiden name). He had 4 children, Rob Munson of Livingston, Laura Munson of Citrus Springs Fla., Ronald Robinson of PA and Frank Munson who predeceased him. He is also survived by his niece, Melissa Malson and her husband Joe with their 2 children, Joseph and Jenna of White Twsp, 4 nephews, Tom Kennedy of Netcong, Will Kennedy formerly of Hackettstown and Jesse and Cory Finch.
Frank was a popular and well known guy at Fresenius Kidney care in Kenvil, NJ where he attended dialysis 3 times a week for 12 years. He quickly became popular at any facility he was in during his 19 month long journey recovering following his leg amputation. Everyone knew Frank as he was easy going and always telling jokes. He also loved to soak up the Jersey sun and grow tomato plants.
In lieu of flowers he would like donations sent to the Jefferson Township animal pound, as he loved animals; 57 Minnisink Road, Behind Public Health Building, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849.

Frank, I just found out about your passing 10 minutes ago. I will always remember the fun we had in “Munsonville” for so many years with all of the gang in Colonial Heights. We sure did have some wild times. Rest easy in Heaven My friend

Frank lived a long and very difficult life that never gave him a fair shake, in my view. I will always remember him fondly. My condolences to all my cousins and to his friends who loved him and cared for him in his hour of need.
