Lieselotte Freimuth, age 98, formerly of North Haledon, NJ died on Sunday, February 4, 2024 surrounded by her son and daughter-in-law, at Colonial Manor at Panther Valley in Allamuchy, NJ.  Lieselotte was born August 29, 1925 in Germany to the late Paul and Minna (Kahlke) Teichfuss.

 

Lieselotte immigrated to the United States with her husband and young daughter in 1953 and eight years later gave birth to her son.  She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her husband and children.  She enjoyed traveling across North America and Europe with her husband as well as spending time with her family and friends.

 

In addition to her parents, Lieselotte was preceded in death by her husband, Lothar in 1994, her daughter Birgit in 1999, her son-in-law Russell also in 1999 and her brother Werner in 1987.

 

Lieselotte is survived by her son, Roland Freimuth and daughter-in-law AnnMarie; three grandchildren, Babette Robbins and her husband James, Michael Freimuth and Christina Puzino and her husband Anthony; six great grandchildren, Jamie Martin and her husband Joe, Meghan Palmer and her husband Ben, Tyler Robbins, Riley Robbins, Grayce Robbins and Gianluca Puzino; three great-great grandchildren, Joe Martin, Makenzie Martin and Lilee Martin; and nieces and nephews who reside in Germany.

 

Visitation will be Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ  07840.  Cremation and interment alongside her husband at Somerset Hills Memorial Park & Chapel Mausoleum in Basking Ridge, NJ will occur at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 in memory of Lieselotte.  Donations can also be made online at https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html
