Rodger Alan Fritts

Rodger Alan Fritts, 79, a longtime resident of Great Meadows, NJ passed away peacefully on May 1, 2022 at Heath Village in Hackettstown, NJ. Rodger, the son of Edgar and Mamie Fritts, was born in Somerville, NJ on January 29, 1943.

Rodger enjoyed snowmobiling, collecting trains, traveling to Atlantic Beach in NC, building remote controlled airplanes, spending time and assisting with upkeep of the family farm in Long Valley and volunteering as a chase crew member for a local hot air balloon company. Rodger worked for more than 20 years as a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler at the former Roche Facility in Belvidere, NJ.

Rodger is survived by his daughter, Rebekah Lewis of North Carolina; step- daughter Vicki and son-in-law Tad Kuziak of Avon, Conn.; step-daughter Linda Veech of Fairplay, Colo.; step-daughter Terry Birckholtz of Temple, GA; and cousins Arley and Evelyn Smith of Long Valley, NJ. He is survived by his grandchildren, Alex, Burke, Chris, Danielle, Elizabeth, Frank, Kailoni, Lisa, Morgan, Nick and Robert; and great-grandchildren, Alan, Buddy, Daphne, Henry, Jace, Scarlett and Vivian.

Rodger was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Loraine Fritts, and his daughter, Holly (Fritts) Dudley.
