Howarth C. Gilmore, 85 died Saturday March 26, 2022 at his home. Born in Park Ridge, NJ he is a son of the late Charles and Anna Gilmore. He is a Graduate of Lehigh University , Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Howarth was a civil engineer who worked with Summit Associates , a major builder of office buildings as Head of Engineering. After retiring from Summit Associates he became Township Engineer for Teaneck, NJ until he retired. He was a motorcycle and vintage car enthusiast. A member and former board member of VSCCA. He enjoyed motorcycle enduro racing in his younger years and his many vintage sports cars later on. He served on the Town Council while living in Montville. Howarth was a family man who enjoyed being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Karen, He is survived by his son, Dale Gilmore, step-son, Bob Brown, Daughters, Tracy Bloomer and her husband Ed and Leslie Shea. Also 9 grandchildren. I enjoyed many years with Howarth and his dear wife Karen going to dog shows and enjoying our English Setters. I still miss Karen every day and take comfort in the fact that they are now together.
