Henry R Henderson (Hank), Jack of all trades and family man passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at his home in Landing, NJ.
Henry was born on September 13, 1948, in Dover, NJ to his parents Fredrick(1913-1999) and Katherine (1922-2000) Henderson. He spent a better part of his childhood in The Richard Mine area of Mt. Hope. He also attended schools in Rockaway and Jefferson Townships. When Henry got out of school, he decided on a career path at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey as an Electrician.
When he retired from Picatinny Arsenal he decided to take on another challenge and started working for the Corp of Engineers out of New York.
During his adulthood he also opened his own business Phase II Electric, which he frequently made his children work with him because he could not fit in the crawl spaces. Henry took on every challenge he could and succeeded.
Henry loved riding his Harley Davidson Shovelhead, bowling, horseshoes, pool, drinking beer and going to casino with his wife.
Henry is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marie (Annie) Henderson.
Together they raised two wonderful children, Henry R. Henderson Jr (1969-2009), Michelle A. Happel and her husband Michael A. Happel. His niece Tammy Kennedy in which he spent a lot of time with. Henry was also blessed with five grandchildren Charles A Moore III, Jamie L. Happel, Mark R Moore, Christie M. Happel, Henry R. Henderson III and 3 great grandchildren, Anastasia R. Moore, Saige R. Henderson, and Brayden S. Henderson.
Henry also has his extended family Annette Urbigkt and husband Marc, children, Ian Urbigkt and wife Dominque, Ryan Urbigkt, Randi Urbigkt and son, Calian.
Henry has 3 brothers Marshall Henderson (Linda), James Henderson (1941-2022), Charles Henderson (1945-2008) and 4 sisters Barbara Eldridge, Maryann Palmer, Jean Henderson, and Wanda Reich.
Plus, his favorite puppies, Little Girl and Baby Boo.
