Hogan, Eileen (Onieal) December 17, 1958 - August 2, 2022

Eileen Onieal Hogan, age 63, of Hackettstown died Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in her beautiful home surrounded by loving family. Eileen was born December 17, 1958 in Bristol, PA to the late Eugene Dennis and Katherine Theresa (Ganley) Onieal.

Eileen loved spending time at the beach home in Ocean Grove, NJ and adored the sea breeze, sunrises over the ocean, walks on the pier, and cool sand between her toes. She was an avid reader, a fabulous cook, and had an effortless gift for pottery, interior design, and gardening. Eileen loved traveling; Paris, California, and Tuscany were her favorites. She was a daily listener of public radio and lifelong fan of the New York Yankees. And no one could beat her at Scrabble (or Words With Friends.)

She worked in Real Estate and was previously employed by Keller Williams in Bernardsville, NJ.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years: Robert Hogan, son: Cameron Hogan and partner Breanna Durkin, daughter: Lindsay Hogan and partner Kenneth Parker, two sisters: Katherine Onieal and Marianne Maher, four brothers: Thomas Onieal and his wife Barbara, Christopher Onieal, Michael Onieal, Robert Onieal, and five nieces and nephews: Meredith Maher, Jackson Onieal, Owen Onieal, John Onieal, and Julianna Onieal Van Daele. Also her beloved dog, Dr. Watson.

Visitation will be Monday, August 8 from 4- 8 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.

The memorial mass will be held 10 am on Tuesday, August 9  at Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Mary, 305  High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Father Leopoldo Salvania officiating.

Condolences to all family and friends of Eileen. I stumbled upon this beautiful tribute to Eileen and was shocked to hear of her passing. I haven’t seen her in years but our children went to grade school together and we were class mothers together in 2nd grade. I am so sorry for your loss and your family will be in our prayers. I will always remember Eileen as beautiful, funny and vibrant and very engaged in life.

My heart breaks—Eileen’s love of family and friends was a joy to observe. Her very special spirit will be so deeply missed in this world, but “her love is true music and it radiates around.” Prayers for peace to her family.

Bob and family…Betty and I were saddened this morning to see the obit in the paper. Although we have not had too much recent contact with your family, we fondlyremember our time with Eileen at Seasons on the Lake. During that period of time, we had many opportunities to spend time with you and some of Eileen’s extended family. We are so sorry for your loss and our condolences to you and your family.
