Holz, Timothy Donald March 11, 1977 - March 18, 2021

Timothy Donald Holz, beloved son of Theodore S. and Janice Q. Holz of Hackettstown New Jersey, suddenly passed away in California on March 18, 2021.

Born in Dover, New Jersey, on March 11, 1977, Tim grew up in Hackettstown, where he participated in multiple recreation sports activities, especially ice hockey and BMX dirt bike racing.  He graduated from Hackettstown School in 1995.

As he matured, Timothy realized and honed his culinary talents and worked in several facets of the food industry, both in New Jersey and across the country.  In this capacity, he especially took pride in the creation of his imaginative presentations of diverse cuisines.

Eventually, Tim’s avid love of nature and adventure drew him to the West, first to Colorado and on to California.  While residing California, Timothy successfully completed (2008) a firefighter course offered by Firestorm Wildland Fire Suppression, Inc., and served on one of its fire crews, which was deployed to battle some of California’s major wildfires.

Throughout his life, Tim surrounded himself with people, and proved himself to be a loyal friend and confidant to many.  He was ever the “champion of the underdog” and always enjoyed a “good time.”

In addition to his parents, Timothy is survived by a sister, Stephanie Ciampoli (Michael) of Hackettstown, New Jersey, and a brother. Andrew Holz (Carey) of Waxhaw, North Carolina.

The family wishes to thank all those who supported, encouraged, and helped Timothy along the way – you know who you are.

Local arrangements were managed by Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, New Jersey 07840.

Burial was private at the request of the family.
