Ryan Jennings passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2023.  He was only 28 years old.

Our family was not expecting the loss of Ryan or for his life to be cut so short, so soon.  We are devastated by this loss and will feel the absence of Ryan forever.

Ryan grew up in Byram and   graduated from Lenape Valley Regional High School.  He moved to Allamuchy Twp in 2014 and worked in multiple transportation positions at UPS, FedEx, and Amazon.

Family was the most important thing to Ryan and he would do anything for us.  Even if he was exhausted, he’d somehow find the energy to help with anything from home repairs to car repairs or just giving someone a ride.  When he wasn’t working, he was spending time with his family.  Ryan was a loving son, brother, uncle, & friend and an avid animal lover.  He loved cars and sports, and found beauty in the world around him.  He loved to photograph nature, especially sunrises and sunsets.  He also liked to draw, mostly pictures of  his pets.  Ryan was passionate about music and food and was a very talented cook.  Ryan loved  people and laughter and he made people laugh and smile,  everywhere he went.  He was too humble to ever say that several years ago he saved someone’s life by doing the Heimlich maneuver.  Our sweet Ryan, with his big heart, will be forever loved and missed by all that knew him.

Ryan is survived by his parent,s Angelica Jennings and Kevin Jennings, his brothers, Kevin (Amanda) Jennings and Tyler Jennings , and his nephew Alyxander Jennings.

A memorial service will be held for Ryan on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.  Visitation will be open to everyone from 11:00am-2:00pm.  A private service for family and close friends will take place immediately afterwards.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial donation be made to the ‘Ryan’s Love of Life Foundation’ for individuals and their families that struggle with mental health and/or addiction.
