On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, Gary David Jones passed away peacefully surrounded by love. Gary was born in WilkesBarre, Pa on September 18, 1946, to the late William R. & Phyllis M. (Wolfe) Jones. The family moved to Hackettstown in 1958, where Gary attended school. He established lifelong friendships & loved his “hometown”.
Gary graduated from The College of New Jersey, and was employed by the Hunterdon County School System until his retirement.
Gary’s interests and talents were numerous, but his greatest love was that of deer hunting. There was never a “story” he didn’t enthusiastically share about those adventures.
Gary was a fun loving, witty, hard working man, always offering a hand to help others.
Gary was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease at an early age .. he persevered through all that came his way.
Gary is predeceased by his brother, William A. Jones.
He is survived by his devoted & loving sister, Karen L. Jones-Toale with whom he lived. Everyday they found joy in their time together. Their love was unconditional.
Gary is also survived by his dedicated nephew, Wayne A. Jones & niece, Jodi Lynn Jones, many nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
