Marlene Kenia, 86 of Mansfield Twp., NJ. passed away on Friday, January 20,2023 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.


Born in Ransom, Pa., Marlene was the daughter of the late John & Evelyn Rosencrance Green. Marlene Lived in Hackettstown, NJ most of her adult life. Marlene was devoted to god and read verses of the bible on a daily basis. Prayer was an important aspect of her life that gave her much comfort. She was an active member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hackettstown, NJ and belonged to the Lutheran Woman’s Guild. Marlene was a member of the Hackettstown Hall of Fame and was an active crafter.


Marlene is survived by four children. Michael, Kenneth, Kevin and Laurie Mahoney. She had 7 loving grandchildren and 11 beautiful great grandchildren that she asked and cared about all of the time. Marlene is predeceased by her beloved husband Henry J. Kenia who passed away in 2018 and her granddaughter Janess Kenia.


Viewing hours will take place on Tuesday, January 24th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840. The funeral will be on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Hackettstown, NJ at 11:00am. Interment will be in the Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ.
