Carl F. Kuehner, Jr. of Mount Olive, New Jersey, passed away Tuesday, September 29th, 2020, at home with his family at his bedside sending him off to eternal rest with love and prayer.
He leaves behind, his wife of 54 years, Gretchen Polzer Kuehner; his son, Brian Charles and wife Valerie Kuehner; his daughter, Kristin Ravo and husband Vincent Ravo and his daughter, Amanda Sherburne and husband Ryan Sherburne.  In addition, left to carry on are 6 grandchildren: Brandon Kuehner, Jason Kuehner, Hailey Ravo, Kaylin Ravo, Samantha Sherburne and Carlie Sherburne.
Carl graduated West Orange High School in 1960. After graduation, he attended Bloomfield Technical School studying electronics. Thereafter, he served proudly in the Army during the Vietnam Era. Then for 40 years he worked for Verizon and became a retiree in 2002.
Just like his devotion to work, he spent his life putting his familys’ welfare and happiness first. For example, he and his son Brian played recreation Volleyball together. With his daughter Kristin, he formed a YMCA Indian Princess Group. With his daughter Mandee, he coached several recreational softball and basketball teams. He never missed Mandee’s High School softball and basketball games.
Upon retirement, Carl worked with his son, at his son’s gourmet deli. He volunteered at Hackettstown’s Trinity Methodist Church serving the community at the Lord’s Pantry for several years.
Carl suffered from Inclusion Body Myositis, which ultimately took his life. To date there is no known cause or cure. In lieu of flowers, if you care to donate, please access https://www.myositis.org/donate/funding  (Make sure to click on the box that indicates “Research Only.”
