Gary Allen Neeley age 72 of Allamuchy, NJ, beloved Husband, Father, Grampap, Brother, Uncle & Friend, joined the angels in heaven on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Gary was born in Holidaysburg, PA on July 11, 1953 to the late Bernice Teeter Kline and John R. Neely. He was also predeceased by his step father Wesley Kline, brothers Tom & John as well as sisters Linda Sue & Holly. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Sandra (Bloom) Neeley, children Joseph (Christine), Amy, Alex, Lori and numerous foster children, Family and friends that looked at him as a Father figure. Grand children Shelby, Vivian, Kaylee, Logan & Jayden, Sister Maureen Kline-Zackeru and many nieces & nephews.
Gary was an enthusiastic hard worker from the early age of 13 as a gas attendant, as an adult he worked for Mobil Chemical, Kucharski’s Salvage, Hammel Electric and pre/post-retirement at Weis Markets in Mansfield, NJ. His dedication and excitement to get to work early to set up for each holiday whether it was fall mums, pumpkins or Christmas trees was heartwarming and hetouched the lives of many with his Christmas music playing outside of the store.
Gary enjoyed watching horse races & casino trips with Sandi, July 14th marked their 52nd wedding anniversary. He could never pass up a chance to watch an old western or a twilight Zone Marathon. Gary & Sandi were foster parents for over 22 years and raised their children in Allamuchy, NJ.
Gary was a soft-hearted man with a zest for life, contagious laughter and a joke to go along with nearly every conversation. He was a quiet man who always made you think he didn’t hear you, but he heard everything. The world is a quieter place without him, but we are comforted knowing he is in heaven with family.
A celebration of Life will take place in September; in true Gary fashion he wished for his body to be donated to science. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Mercer County Community College Funeral Service Education Anatomical Donor Program using the link below. https://fundraise.givesmart.com/form/4WoW3w? utm_medium=qr&utm_source=qr&vid=15cf71
Arrangements are under the direction of Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. For those wishing to leave online condolences for the family, please visit www.cochranfuneral.com
