Date of Funeral

Anne Elizabeth Nordstrom (née Wurzburg)

January 3, 1942 – December 20, 2025

Anne Elizabeth Nordstrom, (Wurzburg), of Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, after a long illness. She died as she lived—surrounded in her final days by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, friends, and devoted caregivers: those she comforted throughout her life, and those who comforted her in return.

Anne was born on January 3, 1942, in New York, New York. She graduated from North Hunterdon Regional High School in Clinton, New Jersey, and attended St. Catherine’s College in Springfield, Kentucky.

In 1961, she married Harold Nordstrom, and together they began a life centered on family, hard work, and community. Anne and Harold founded Budd Lake Machine & Tool in the 1960s. Under their stewardship, the business grew and thrived, and in 2008 it was sold to Victaulic in Easton, Pennsylvania.

In addition to her work in the family business, Anne was deeply involved in volunteer service. She gave generously of her time at the Catherine Dickson Hofman Branch of the Warren County Library in Blairstown, New Jersey; at the Waterloo Village Historic Site in Stanhope, New Jersey; and as a 4-H leader in Warren County., she also volunteered her time at the Millbrook Historic Village in Millbrook, New Jersey.

Anne had a gift for welcoming others. She took in any stray that found its way to her doorstep— whether child or animal—and possessed a seemingly magical ability to conjure meals that expanded effortlessly to include unexpected guests. She was always present with solace, warmth, and comfort for family and friends, a legacy that will not be forgotten. Her absence will be deeply felt.

Anne is survived by her husband, Harold Nordstrom; her children Glenn (Sheri) of Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania; Scott (Laura) of Middlebrook, Virginia; Heather (Wicki) (Peter) of Great Meadows, New Jersey; and Christopher (Amy) of Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her siblings Jane (Anderson) of Oldwick, New Jersey; Gregory of Brussels, Belgium; Gerardine of Washington, D.C.; Otto of St. Johnsbury, Vermont; and Robert of Glen Gardner, New Jersey. Anne leaves behind nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, Todd (1970); her father, Otto Wurzburg (2004); and her mother, Charlotte Wurzburg (2006).

A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, New Jersey 07840.

Interment will be private.

    Nordstrom Family,
Linda and I are sending prayers and condolences upon hearing of Mrs Nordstrom’s passing. For Notre Dame and us, she always had a smile and she had a way of letting everyone know she knew what was going on. Her motherly instincts, love of her family, and her intuition were spot on. We’ll miss her smile.
