Muriel Pickels died August 22, 2023, at the age of 99, at the Little Brook Nursing Home in Califon, NJ. She was a longtime resident of Lake Tamarack in Stockholm, NJ, and, before that, Paterson.
She was most recently employed at State Farm Insurance Co. in Wayne. She was a loving, caring mother, and the most important thing in her life was always “her girls” and their families.
Muriel, born October 7, 1923, was the daughter of George and Carrie Zachmann, who predeceased her, as did her brother George. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Moll, and her husband Ken, and Susan Clark, and her husband Bruce, of Long Valley, and Barbara Daniel, and her husband Dave, of Lake Tamarack; her grandchildren, Shannon Clark Reap, and her husband Shawn, of Long Valley, Rachel Clark, and her husband Jesse Lopez, of Hillsborough, Brian Clark of Somerville, and Amanda Greene, and her fiancé Marcus Ward, of Bethlehem, PA; and three greatgrandchildren; and also by two nieces, Carol Flanagan of Hawthorne and Linda Lemke of Parsippany.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 26, at Cochran Funeral Home from 10 – 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, 575 Woodland Ave, Madison, NJ 07940.
