Richardson, Phyllis C. March 7, 1924 - December 3, 2020

Phyllis C. Richardson went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 3, 2020.  She was 96.

Phyllis was born in Philadelphia, PA to Henry and Edith (Burroughs) Clark.  She lived in Springfield, NJ,  Westfield and Clark before moving to Hackettstown 22 years ago.

Phyllis loved working and held many positions over the years, but her favorite job was working in the Skills Match Center at AT&T from which she retired in 1996.

Phyllis was very active at Trinity Methodist Church in Hackettstown and held many volunteer positions which included home visitations and the Prayer Shawl group, and she asked to be buried with one of the shawls from that group.

She was predeceased by her brothers Warren and Richard Clark, and her sisters Barbara Ann Clark, Lorraine Clark and Bernese Richardson.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Tompkins (Clark) and her husband Ray of Andover, NJ, two brothers; James Clark of Califon and Frank Clark and his wife Sherry of Sparta, and her sister Madeleine Gilmour of Scotch Plains.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she adored!  She was also known as “Grandma Red” to Melissa Cruz, Daniel Reevie, Edward Reevie, Shaun Reevie, Britanni Tompkins and Jake Tompkins.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday December 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.  A memorial service will be planned for late Spring or early Summer 2021.
