Robert James Basile, Sr. (Bob), age 68, of Wilkes-Barre Township, PA died peacefully with his wife Stella at his side on Saturday, July 4, 2020.   Bob was born April 19, 1952 and lived in Clifton, New Jersey until moving to Pennsylvania in 1990. He is the son of the late, Nobile R. Basile and Nancy Basile (Eiane). In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother, Nobile A. Basile in 2012.

Bob is survived by his wife of 46 years, Stella Basile (Yaglowski) and son, Robert J. Basile, Jr. and wife Rosemary.  He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren: RJ, Joseph and Harry, as well as his brother, Alfonso E. Basile and his wife, Arlene.

Bob spent many years working as a Chief Radiologic Technician (Cardiac Catheterization Lab) at Passaic General Hospital (now St. Mary’s) in Passaic, NJ.  He was a member of the Albrightsville Volunteer Police and Fire department and also served as President of the Indian Mountain Lakes homeowners association.

A Memorial Service celebrating Bob’s life will be held at a future date once the Covid19 protocols allow.

That service will be held at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
