I’m so grateful for my many talks with Roy. He was a mans man who cared deeply about his family. I will always remember him as one of the hardest working people I’ve ever know. I’ve always respected his work ethic, family values and his confidence. Going to miss our talks.

Dear Jean and Family, We are so very sorry for the loss of Roy. He was an amazing person who did touch so many lives. Bill loved to go to the store just to hang out and talk to Roy. He was always so caring. When we moved here over 25 years ago he was one of the first people we met and he always offered a helping hand. We will miss this loving man who always spoke of you, his kids and grandchildren with such admiration and love. He has definitely left a hole in all our hearts but we are surely grateful having him in our lives. Love Bill and Pam

We have known Roy and his family for about 30 years. He always treated us as two of his children. The times our family had with his family were the best times of my life. I always thought of him as my “father”. He was kind hearted and we will always appreciate the great times we had with him. Rest In Peace and God is a lucky person to have you. We will miss you immensely!

I was blessed to know the Sargeant family all those years ago, and Roy’s generosity to the friends of his children with summer pool parties and such. I well remember the trips to Mansfield to pick up the pizzas in my VW, with people like Mark Voight adding to the fun by the pool. And the water skiing at Beltzville lake were other great times. Having moved away over 20 years ago I have not seen Roy in many years, but my memories of him have not faded. My sincere condolences to Roy, Deb and Judy – the RDJ in the name of the store, always thinking of his children. I remember the names painted on the trucks as well. And to Jean, I am truly sorry for your loss, and thankful for your part in all those happy memories so many of us from Hackettstown have.

To the entire Sargeant Family my deepest sympathy. Your father and your family was part of our life growing up in Great Meadows. We spent many a time together playing sports, in the band at Central School, and getting together at swim parties at your house. Your Dad was always there for you and we saw that. When me and my family moved back from CA I stopped by RDJ and spoke with your Dad. He welcomed me with open arms as a long lost friend. He will be missed by all that he touched. Sincerely, Steven Wojcicki

Dear Mrs. Sargeant, Roy Debbie, Judy and Family My Wife Robin and I were so sorry to hear of Mr. Sargeant’s passing, and so soon after Debbie lost Her Husband John, this double sting has us knowing any words of comfort will be I fear lacking, but please know we are asking our FATHER in Heaven through Christ Jesus our LORD to have HIS HOLY SPIRIT comfort you all as only the LORD Can. I always loved the times Mr. Sargeant and I had to talk, I counted on His council and though I agreed with what He said to me ta couple of times that we really only have a handful of true friends, I also know as with myself and the Independence Twp Community Mr. Sargeant will be missed dearly. All that said our feeling of loss will never come close to the heartbreak and loss you all are going through, and we additionally Ask Christ to give You all strength as you walk this path. GOD Bless Paul & Robin Wallace
