June Rosemary Scheller, age 98, passed away at home on Saturday, July 27th, 2024.

She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Christine and Janet, daughter in law, Virginia, 2 granddaughters Whitney and Ashley, step grandson, Greg, great grandson Leo, and many others. Sadly, June was predeceased by her only son, Stephen in 2016.

June was born in the London area of England, and emigrated to the United States shortly after World War II.  She worked as a secretary at Laguardia Airport prior to marrying Philipp Scheller, and post accompanying Phil while he served at Fort Brag during the Korean War, they settled at his family’s farm on Schooley’s Mountain Road, New Jersey.

Finding herself widowed in her early 50’s she took over running the family Christmas tree farm for the next decade, but also volunteered at the local hospital as a transport aid and then to delivered “Meals on Wheels”, later at several Charity – based thrift shops, and participated in several events for “ Habitat For Humanity”.

In her later years, June enjoyed traveling and biking (often combining the two), and continued her love for knitting for as long as she was able.

A Memorial Service Will be held, on Sunday August 18th from 11 am – 1 pm with services beginning at 1 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840
