Frederick William Senftinger, age 84, died on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at little Brook Nursing Home, Califon, NJ.
He was born July 30, 1938, in Mount Vernon, NY. Fred grew up in Bronx, NY. He moved to Brooklyn and became a plumber, working for the New York City Parks Department. After retiring he moved to Bright Side Manor Assisted Living in Teaneck, NJ, where he lived near family for over 20 years.
He is survived by one niece, Barbara Ann Schmitt and husband Robert, two great nephews, Peter Schmitt and wife Melissa, Richard Schmitt and wife Jordan. He is also survived by one great-grandniece, Vivian Schmitt. Fred was predeceased by his parents Josef and Julianna (Koerner) Senftinger and his brother, George Senftinger.
Visitation will be held at St Mark the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Long Valley, NJ on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 9:30am followed by a 10:30am Funeral Mass. Fred will be laid to rest at St. Raymond’s RC Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
