Janice R. Stevens
December 17,1948 – October 6, 2025
Janice Stevens is a past resident of Hackettstown, NJ. Devoted to her husband and family she passed away peacefully in Little Egg Harbor, NJ.
Janice was born in East Orange, NJ. She grew up in Hackettstown and attended Hackettstown High School, West Virginia University and later got her degree as a paralegal.
She was happily married for 50 years and they lived in many different places. She resided in Mclean, Va., Watertown, NY, Yorba Linda, Calif, Vero Beach, Fl., Long Beach Island, Nj and finally settled in Barnegat Township. She was a selfless person and always wanted to help others. She made lifelong friends wherever she called home. Her real passion was her nieces, nephews, great nephews and great niece. She loved to spoil them with her unconditional love. She found a passion in a Florida law firm in Florida as their paralegal and stayed with them until retirement.
Janice is survived by her husband Daniel Stevens. Her sister Nancy and brother-in-law George Cummins. Their children Scott Cummins and Sean Cummins and his two beautiful children Lance and Gabriella. Niece Jennifer and husband Marc Duncan and there two boys Carter and Cayden.
Janice was predeceased by her parents Jack and Isabella Hansell.
Services will be held at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ on Friday, October 10, 2025. Viewing will start at 11:00 am till 1:00 pm. Service will be directly following at Cochran’s and burial will be in Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, NJ

Our Irish roots kept us laughing and always crying together. So many good memories that will forever live in my heart.
