Sutton, Barbara A. January 29, 1942 - November 2, 2025

Barbara A. Sutton, age 83, of Heath Village in Hackettstown, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Born on January 29, 1942, in East Stroudsburg, PA, Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late John and Mildred (Rasley) Lohman.

Barbara lived a life rich in faith, family, and simple joys. She found delight in bee keeping, gardening, cross stitch, reading, and playing rummikub with her friends. A vibrant member of the Heath Village retirement community, she was deeply spiritual and actively participated in Bible studies. Her devotion to her faith was reflected in her longtime membership at Valley View Chapel in Long Valley, NJ.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Andrew Sutton; her loving sisters, Beverly Schimmel and husband John, and Bonnie Salley and husband Barry; her cherished nieces, Holly Janneck and husband Christopher, and Heather Pellet and husband Michael; and her dear nephews, Eric Salley and John Schimmel.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Both will take place at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ. Barbara will be laid to rest following services at Riverview Cemetery, 2005 Church Street, Upper Mount Bethel, PA.

In addition, a memorial service will be held at Valley View Chapel, 115 E. Mill Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853 on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 2pm for those who wish to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to Valley View Chapel.

    I will miss you. First met you at LVCAP. You made sure i always knew you worked elsewhere. lol. Your countless hours dedicated to the food pantry will NOT go unnoticed. I will think of you always. Esp when the meat is puy in the freezzer. Every time. God is lucky to have you now go open up that pantry in heavern.
