Al was my second supervisor at NJT. He was all business, but very fair. He was very instrumental in getting extra work for our garage. One of the humorous memories of Al was that there were two occasions when you were not allowed into his office. One was before all the buses went out in the morning. The other was if the Giants lost the day before. You had better know this because he would kick you out if you didn’t. He got me once. I was lucky to see him last year at a luncheon, and it was great. Rest in peace, Al. You might be the best supervisor NJT ever had.
