Paul W. Walton, age 65, died Thursday, July 20, 2023, at his home in Great Meadows, NJ.  Paul was born on February 5, 1958, in Newton, NJ. He is the son of the late Walter G. and Esther(Fadeley) Walton.

Paul graduated from Warren County Vo-Tech in 1977.

Paul worked at the House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown, NJ thru October 2022. He had wonderful relationships with the residents as well as many coworkers. He enjoyed playing Santa Claus for the residents and their families for many years. He particularly enjoyed helping out and singing at their Monday Night Block parties.

His family was everything to Paul. He looked forward to every family function and couldn’t wait to see them again. He will be sorely missed by all.

Paul was a loving son, brother, and uncle. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased in death by two brothers, Nelson H. Hansen (2003) and Walter “Jay” G. Walton, Jr (2012), and a sister, Linda A. Oakes, (2015) of NJ.

Paul is survived by his sister: Doris “Dee” M. Oakes of NJ and his brother: Chester “Chet aka Butch” A. Walton and sister-in-law Diane of PA. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Thursday, July 27 from 10 am – 12 noon at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J..

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Thursday, July 27 at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. Burial will be in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ following the service.
