Fred was one of the few who was at Warren Hills for more than just a paycheck. He truly loved helping people. He was a great guy. He always listened and gave great advice to real life circumstances. I’m honored to have known him. RIP.

Fred was a nice guy, a good friend, and a great educator who would do anything to help his students. He has probably already found Frank Fenimore and Rob Jennings, and they’re most likely reminiscing, joking around, and planning what projects they’re going to do in heaven. He will be greatly missed by all.

Shannon Nye, WH Class of 2004 says

Mr. Werner was the best teacher I ever had the pleasure of sitting in the classroom with at Warren Hills Regional High School from 2002 to 2004. He was so kind, wise, and passionate, and his excitement and sense of humor in the classroom was something I’ll never forget. You’re a big
part of why I , became a high school teacher to help students the way you helped me. You helped me overcome some really dark times in my life, when it felt like no one else in the world was listening. Thank you Mr. Werner for being there for me when no one else was. It is bittersweet to be sitting in the same room as the family you always spoke so highly of or to hear their stories about your life beyond school, solidifying in my mind what an amazing human being you were in life. Thank you, Mr. Werner, for being a friend and a mentor to me and so many others, including my younger brother, Clint, and so many of my friends.
