Linda Wheeler, age 71, of Hackettstown died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown, NJ. Linda was born June 20, 1950 in Weehawken, NJ to the late Anton and Josephine (Brautigm) Kammerbauer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John.
She was employed by Sandshore Elementary School, Budd Lake, NJ as the Head Cook. Linda was a dedicated mother after the passing of her husband at an early age; her children were her highest priority and she always made sure they knew they were loved and cared for. Linda was an avid reader, a New York Giants fan, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and going on shopping trips with her daughter, Jodi. In addition, she liked going to Panera Bread with her best friend, Margo, enjoyed a good cup of coffee, and eating at the famous Hot Dog Johnny’s or the local Dairy Queen.
She is survived by two daughters, Stacy Wheeler; Jodi Weston and husband Michael, a son, Jason Wheeler and wife Emily, and two granddaughters, Isabelle and Annalise Wheeler.
The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Monday, August 23 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ with Chaplin Mario Spadaro officiating. Burial will be in Stanhope Union Cemetery, Stanhope, Nj following the service.
Visiting hours will be Monday, August 23 from 10 am – 1 pm at Cochran Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 in memory of Linda.
