White, Deborah A. January 26, 1956 - November 6, 2024

We are saddened to announce the Celebration of Life for our beloved sister, Deborah Ann White, affectionately known to friends and family as “Debbie.” She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, at the young age of 68.

Debbie was born on January 21, 1956, in Newark, New Jersey, to Alfred Eugene Sr. and Madeline Dance, who later remarried Willie Baker Sr., all of whom have preceded her in death.

Debbie was one of ten children. She is reunited with her siblings Naomi Baker, Linda Baker, Ola Mae Williams, Diane Anderson Smith, Mustafa Shabazz, and Alfred Eugene White Jr., who are
also deceased. She leaves to cherish her memory her siblings Brian Lance Baker, his wife Linda Baker, Tawana Lavette King, her husband Joseph King Sr., Sonya Nyoka Baker, and Ronald Loren Baker, as well as 30 nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and nephews.

She attended Warren Hills Senior High in Washington, New Jersey, and continued her education at Centenary University in Hackettstown, New Jersey, where she belonged to Sigma Epsilon Phi. Debbie developed a deep love for the Culinary Arts and folk and classical music, even joining Centenary’s choir. Through her passion for cooking, she became an exceptional chef, leading to a career in catering for concerts and executive events with John Scheer Entertainment. Later, she branched off to create her own company, DAW Inc. Catering. Her clients included The Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Prince, The Jacksons, Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, and many more. Her work was seen behind major events in the ’80s and ’90s, such as The Amnesty International Concert in 1986 and Woodstock ’ 94, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the original festival. After her incredible career, she decided to slow down, working for Wegmans to continue her passion for cooking until she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, leading to her retirement from the hospitality industry.

Debbie was an avid collector of Mickey Mouse figurines, always dedicating a room to showcase her amazing collection. She was also a devoted fan of the New York Giants and Ohio State
Buckeyes. She was a member of the Lafayette Federated Church in Lafayette, NJ. Her love for travel was infectious, bringing joy and inspiration to everyone around her. We are grateful for our time with our beloved sister, aunt, and friend. Thank you, God, for allowing us to be a part of her life.
